Posani Krishna Murali created enough hype for his latest release “Mental Krishna” . The posters and trailers showing Posani in different getups already became the topic of discussion among people. However, looks like the movie is neither so extra-ordinary nor so “different” from most of the other movies.

What is it about : Satya (Satya) falls in love with their milk-man who is well educated and aims big. Her family happily agrees to their marriage. However, on the day of her wedding, it is revealed that this milkman ditched her in order to marry his aunt's daughter. Enter “Muddu Krishna”(Posani), a family friend's son. He marries Satya, since he developed a liking to her in the flashback. Now begins the story. He begins suspecting Satya of infidelity and believes that she is still in to relationship with her ex-lover. Satya bears everything with patience but finally seeks refuge in her parents' home when things become unbearable. Here begins the melodrama, twists and turns, making the movie end as a happy sentimental drama.

What is Good: There are no songs in the middle. There are no fights either. To that extent, there is some continuous flow in the movie. Satya and Posani tried their best. There's nothing much to take home in this movie, really. The best part is the name. Its a sort of indicator to the audience on what to expect.

What is bad: The film is unbearably long. Its just 2.5 hours on paper. But, without a full length story, it is highly difficult to make 2.5 hours a bearable time frame. Excepting the suspicion factor, there is nothing in the story. Only periodical events keep coming in. As the viewers become irritated with a spate of such incidents, towards the end, there are enough twists and turns in the narration to divert you from the fact that there is no story. It is embarrassing at places and very irritating at many. All those people who played small roles in the movie over-acted to the extent possible, since they knew that there is no scope to be noticed under Posani's shadow. The movie loses heavily in comedy sector. Vulgarity might have been bearable had there been some comedy breaks. There have been more vulgar scenes in Telugu movies, but never this straight. Perhaps, Posani believes he is frank. Perhaps not.

Me Thinks: I would not and cannot call it a wholesome entertainer. Perhaps there might be some possibilities of it appealing to the mass audience. I have even heard two people commenting it as a good movie. There were no whistles for any dialogue. There was not a single big laughter throughout. I would not outrightly show the audacity of asking someone to watch the movie. However, if you are jobless, desperate to watch some flick at any cost, carry on at your own risk. I would still say there are other options.

Tailpiece: Posani needs some re-thinking. This can't be a story writer's story. However, its his show all the way, and he emoted well within his limitations.
